About The Position

This internship is for a student currently enrolled in High School and participating in an automotive training program. The intern will assist technicians with various tasks, including vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance, fluid checks, basic electrical diagnostics, battery maintenance, brake inspections, and tire services. The role also involves shop organization, cleanup, and interacting with the public.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in High School and participating in an automotive training program.
• Must be in good standing with the High School.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to collaborate with Department Heads, employees and other groups on work related assignments.
• Ability to work with others as a team member.
• Must be able to assist with shop organization and clean up.
• Must be able to work with the public and provide information in a polite and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Check and top off vehicle fluids.
• Assist technicians with basic electrical diagnostics and battery testing/maintenance.
• Assist with brake inspections and basic tire services.
• Prioritize and organize work, and multi-task effectively.
• Collaborate with Department Heads, employees, and other groups on work-related assignments.
• Work effectively as a team member.
• Assist with shop organization and cleanup.
• Interact with the public, providing information politely and efficiently.
