About The Position

The Student Studio Technician supports the daily operations, organization, and professional functioning of a university creative studio and arts facility. Working alongside faculty, the Student Studio Manager helps maintain a welcoming, safe, organized, and productive environment for artistic practice, instruction, exhibitions, performances, and creative projects. This position provides students with hands-on experience in the professional arts environment and an opportunity to develop skills in studio management, communication, organization, equipment and material care, event support, and collaboration with practicing artists.

Requirements

  • Employment will require a criminal background check.
  • If you have prior work history within the last seven years with Universities of Wisconsin or State of Wisconsin agencies, a personnel file review check for employee misconduct.
  • References will be asked to answer questions regarding employee misconduct, sexual violence and sexual harassment.
  • Verification of identity and legal right to work in the United States as required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act.
