Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (PNG), a subsidiary of TriSummit Utilities Inc., owns and operates natural gas processing, transmission and distribution systems in British Columbia’s lower Peace, west central, and north coast regions. PNG’s western transmission system extends from the Enbridge gas transmission system north of Prince George and along the Highway 16 corridor to Terrace and then onto the port communities of Kitimat and Prince Rupert, providing gas transportation and service to twelve communities and a number of industrial facilities. In the Province’s northeast, Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd., a subsidiary of PNG, provides gas processing, transmission and distribution service in the Dawson Creek, Fort St. John and Tumbler Ridge areas. The Student engaging in Ground Truthing Data Collection will be responsible for conducting field verification activities to support mapping, infrastructure, and operational projects. This role involves engaging directly with customers and residents within designated areas to gather accurate data and ensure alignment with project requirements. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with digital data collection tools such as laptop, iPad, and mobile phone. The Student Ground Truthing Data Collector is responsible for committing to PNG’s Core Values and will conduct work in accordance with department processes, corporate policy, and applicable regulatory and legal requirements.
