About The Position

Berklee’s Communications and Marketing team is seeking a Student Graphic Designer to support the Creative team through organization, template design, graphic design projects, and day-to-day production needs. This role is ideal for a driven, detail-oriented student who enjoys working behind the scenes to keep creative projects running smoothly. The Student Graphic Designer will help update the Berklee branding on a variety of materials, help organize assets, assist on design needs for special projects, assist with project management, and miscellaneous design tasks. This is a critical support role as Berklee launches a new brand and website, making accuracy, consistency, and follow-through essential. Students in this role will gain hands-on experience in creative operations and cross-team collaboration, while learning how strong organization and visual systems play a vital role in storytelling, branding, and institutional success.

Requirements

• Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
• Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program.
• Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
• Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
• Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
• A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
• Federal Work Study student may apply.
• In good disciplinary standing.
• Must be located in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Enrolled at Berklee during the summer and fall session
• Is comfortable working in project management platforms
• Proficient in Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Has experience using Canva
• Has an eye for photography and composition
• Is passionate about asset management and organization
• Animation Experience in Adobe After Effects strongly desired
• Proficiency is Figma Strongly Desired

Responsibilities

• Organizing design assets
• Creating updated branded templates in Canva
• Assisting with project management in Asana
• Generating image links for emails and campaigns
• Creating TV slides
• Ensuring accurate representation of the updated Berklee brand
• Collaborate on various design projects as needed
• Create updated branded templates in Canva
