About The Position

The Chemistry Student Grader provides academic support to faculty within the Department of Chemistry by assisting with the grading of assignments, quizzes, laboratory work, and other course-related materials. This position requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to accurately apply grading criteria established by the instructor while supporting the overall instructional mission of the department.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty with grading quizzes, homework assignments, laboratory reports, exams, and other course-related materials according to instructor guidelines.
• Apply grading rubrics and departmental standards consistently and accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records, grades, and academic information.
• Record and organize grading data as directed by faculty.
• Assist with the preparation and organization of instructional and course materials.
• Communicate professionally with faculty regarding grading assignments, timelines, and questions.
• Support faculty with administrative tasks related to course management as needed.
• Meet established grading deadlines and maintain accuracy in all assigned work.
• Perform other academic support duties as assigned.
