About The Position

American Dining Creations is looking for friendly, dependable students to join our campus dining team as Student Food Service Workers. If you want to earn extra money, meet new people, and build skills that will help you in any career, this is a great opportunity to work right where you study. You’ll gain hands-on experience in customer service, hospitality, culinary operations, and teamwork while helping create a welcoming dining experience for your campus community. In this role, you’ll serve guests, support café and dining operations, assist with food preparation, and keep service areas ready for the next rush. You’ll work in a fast-paced kitchen and dining environment, gain real-world restaurant and cafeteria experience, and strengthen your communication and customer service skills—all while balancing your class schedule and studies.

Requirements

Currently enrolled as a student at the college or university where the café is located.
No food service experience required
Friendly, dependable, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Ready to stay focused, organized, and positive in a fast-paced kitchen and dining environment.
Basic math skills and the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Ability to lift 30 lbs., bend, climb stairs, stand, and walk throughout the scheduled shift.

Nice To Haves

experience in customer service, food service, retail, hospitality, or culinary settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

Help prepare and serve fresh menu items at a café station or serving line.
Welcome students, faculty, staff, and campus guests with friendly, efficient service.
Answer questions about menu offerings and help guests navigate the dining area.
Build cashier and technology skills by operating a point-of-sale system and processing purchases.
Label and package food for takeout and mobile orders.
Keep the kitchen, café, equipment, utensils, and service areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the next rush.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
Jump in where needed and work with the team to keep service running smoothly.
