About The Position

This position serves as a key member of Student Financial Services and is responsible for delivering premier financial aid related customer service to prospective and current students and their families and to both on and off campus partners.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • Office Environment (3 Years)
  • Microsoft Office
  • Payment Processing
  • Cash handling experience in a business setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PowerFAIDS.
  • Experience in a banking environment.
  • Microsoft Office Skills (Microsoft Excel & Word).
  • Ability to work well in a high volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assists students and parents with up-to-date, accurate and complete information regarding financial aid and billing related questions and transactions, signing of documents and scheduling appointments for Student Financial Services Counselors.
  • Contacts may be in person, by phone, via email or through other electronic means.
  • Ensure continuity of federal work-study on-line job information.
  • Plan and organize federal work-study information provided to campus partners.
  • Assist as needed with monthly Federal Work Study Audit process including monitoring financial aid award reports for award changes.
  • Opening and closing of SFS Service Center.
  • Balance and reconcile daily transactions.
  • SFS Refund check processing.
  • Assistance with student service activities related to account inquiries, billing adjustments, financial arrangements and federal financial records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
