About The Position

The University of Florida is looking for a Student Financial Aid Coordinator II to manage the Return of Title IV funds process within the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. In this role, you will coordinate withdrawal and financial aid recalculations, ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, and collaborate with campus partners to support accurate financial aid administration.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the Return of Title IV process, ensuring timely and accurate handling of student withdrawals and financial aid adjustments.
  • Monitor official and unofficial withdrawals, unsatisfactory grades, and enrollment changes to recalculate aid eligibility and process the return of federal and state funds.
  • Perform complex financial aid calculations and review student records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on withdrawal regulations, providing guidance and training to staff as needed.
  • Evaluate and interpret federal, state, and institutional regulations to ensure compliance with financial aid and withdrawal policies.
  • Support audits, monitor financial aid program requirements, and maintain documentation to support compliance efforts.
  • Identify potential compliance concerns and recommend policy, procedural, or operational improvements to senior administrators.
  • Partner with university departments to resolve withdrawal-related issues and ensure accurate processing of student financial aid.
  • Lead or assist with special projects, process improvement initiatives, and other assignments as directed.
  • Participate in professional development activities and represent the university at financial aid presentations, workshops, and conferences as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
