About The Position

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Student Facilities Assistant. The selected candidate will assist the Facilities Team in maintaining, repairing, and improving the facilities at SDL. This could include general plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, and any other maintenance tasks as they come up. The selected candidate will also perform and accurately record preventative maintenance tasks on a monthly basis. Onsite support is required for this position in North Logan, UT. SDL delivers advanced multi-domain solutions to protect national security and enable scientific discovery. Our expertise in satellites, sensors and instruments, ground systems and data processing, and autonomous systems plays a critical role in missions supporting NASA and the Department of Defense. Requirements

  • Must be enrolled at Utah State University with a minimum of one year remaining in school
  • Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summers
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Must have a strong sense of responsibility and dedication to your work
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision
  • Must be comfortable using computers and all types of computer applications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in facilities maintenance, construction, and/or power tools
