Facilities Design and Construction (FDC) is responsible for capital building projects, renovations, mechanical/electrical and other projects as assigned. FDC manages, supervises, directs and coordinates new construction and renovation projects through the entire project life cycle, including but not limited to budget/estimating, scheduling, planning/design, bidding, construction and closeout phases. Project delivery methods utilized include but not limited to Design/Bid/Build, Design-Build and Construction Manager at Risk. The Student Assistant supports the team with tasks that are moderately technical or complex and will need to demonstrate a high degree of responsibility and judgment. Must demonstrate excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, ability to work in a professional environment. Ability to work with and communicate effectively to direct activities to other students’ employees. Skillfully navigates the wide array of tasks and responsibilities required to support the successful delivery of projects while providing the highest level of customer service. Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
