About The Position

The Student Employee helps keep the Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) clinic organized and welcoming. This role supports client scheduling, front desk service, attendance records, clinic preparation, and inventory, with additional support for Audiology (AUD) and department operations as needed. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Must be a student in the UAMS College of Health Professions Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology.
• Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Help schedule clients; answer calls professionally; take detailed messages from current and prospective SLP and AUD clients; and relay messages to the appropriate staff.
• Answer the doorbell and check in clients and visitors according to UAMS and ASP procedures.
• Cover the front desk during staff lunches, breaks, and absences.
• Record weekly client attendance in ClinicNote as directed by the clinic manager.
• Help clean and prepare clinic spaces, and copy or laminate materials as requested.
• Check assessments, treatment materials, and iPads daily to ensure they are accounted for and secured in locked storage.
• Receive, check in, organize, and restock clinic and office supplies.
• The Student Employee will share time between Mrs. Stephens and Mrs. Johnson based on clinic and department needs.
