This is a student employee position that works around your class schedule. May work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters. During summer and holiday breaks (Winter/Spring), may work up to 28 hours per week with supervisor approval. Requirements

  • 2.5 GPA or higher and in good standing with JJC
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at JJC
  • Practical experience in the use of hand and power tools
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Accuracy in tabulations of money
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in execution of designs for JJC Theatre Productions
  • Assisting in the management of JJC musical events (concerts, recitals, etc.)
  • Assisting in front of house operations for all productions and concerts (ticketing, ushering, general support)
  • Supervising volunteers in various theatre shops (scenic, costumes, props, lighting)
  • Office duties (filing, computer, photocopying, etc.)
  • Assist Fine Arts Secretary as needed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
