About The Position

This position assists with the set-up and take-down of micro labs, including moving specimens to and from incubators. The workweek is up to 20 hours per week, with a schedule that varies depending on the student's class schedule.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to frequently bend, stretch, and lift

Responsibilities

• Prepare lab materials, specimens, and equipment for scheduled classes and experiments.
• Set up and clean lab benches, glassware, and instruments before and after use.
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory of chemicals, models, and tools.
• Label and organize samples, slides, and biological materials as directed.
• Follow all safety procedures and assist in maintaining compliance with lab safety protocols.
• Dispose of biological waste properly in accordance with college and state guidelines.
• Assist faculty and staff with special projects, demonstrations, or events related to the biology program.
