About The Position

Cardinal Health Canada is seeking positive and team-oriented individuals to join their Gananoque manufacturing center for a 3-month student contract. The role involves supporting the production department, specifically on the ECG team, where the selected candidates will visually inspect and package electrodes for medical facilities worldwide. The position requires adherence to quality and productivity standards. The Gananoque facility manufactures life-impacting medical devices and has a history of over 112 years in Canada, with a focus on innovation.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable with lifting up to 10 lbs
• Comfortable with repetitive motion
• Detail-oriented with a focus on high accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in both sitting and standing positions
• Ability to work in a team environment with clear communication and quality control
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment
• General knowledge of an industrial/manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Visual inspection and packaging of medical disposable electrodes
• Set up work cell and replenish with proper materials as required
• Perform manual process steps, including visual inspection and packaging
• Ensure all safety and quality requirements are followed
• Ensure line clearances are completed accurately
• Ensure proper coding of product
• Ensure proper use of correct materials
• Maintain a clean and orderly work cell by following 5S standards
• Perform in-process quality assurance tests
• Sample product as defined for the process
• Document checks on DHR as defined in work instructions and quality system
• Notify Lead Hand, Supervisor, or Quality Assurance of non-conformances
