About The Position

Together, we will continue to protect our culture, lands, and our people. The role involves collaborating with Lillooet Tribal Council, and Fisheries & Oceans Canada. Learning when and where particular stocks or run timing groups are being harvested, and entering data in an office setting.

Requirements

  • Must pass an Enhanced Reliability security check. (Criminal Record Check)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written

Nice To Haves

  • BC driver’s license, would be an asset
  • Own transportation would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide fishery opening/closure information for distribution to the communities
  • Ensure that all catch data forms are filled out correctly before being entered into the DFO MERCI database
  • Assist the DFO Catch Monitoring Technician with the entry of catch data into the DFO MERCI database
