About The Position

Novagard is seeking a Data Entry Co-Op Student to join their Research and Development department. This role will primarily focus on entering product and lab data into the Alchemy system to support AI-based tools for knowledge management, formulation design, and employee onboarding. A secondary project involves supporting the design and development of a new website, including an Innovation Engine landing page that highlights materials, problems solved, and product solutions. The company, Novagard, is a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) and Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) that designs and manufactures a wide range of silicone-based products for various industries. They have been in operation for over 25 years and hold ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 certifications.

Requirements

• Background in computer science, chemical engineering or materials
• Good writing skills and interpersonal skills
• Full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Chemical, or Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Enter, update, and validate data within an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) to support daily business operations
• Assist in maintaining and optimizing database records by identifying and correcting inconsistencies
• Apply AI-powered tools to automate data validation, detect errors, and improve data accuracy
• Clean, format, and organize large datasets for integration into ERP platforms
• Generate reports and dashboards using Excel and ERP reporting features to support decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data flow between departments
• Perform routine quality checks and leverage AI insights to reduce manual errors and improve efficiency
• Maintain strict data security and confidentiality standards
• Other duties as assigned
