About The Position

The Student Coordinator at Bethany Children’s Health Center facilitates the placement, onboarding, and oversight of students across all programs (including shadowing, internships, practicums, and clinical rotations). This role serves as the liaison between academic institutions, students, and hospital departments, ensuring a safe, compliant, and productive learning environment. Additionally, the Student Coordinator will help with hospital licensure compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, healthcare administration, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with student or internship programs, compliance, or hospital education is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate student placements based on educational requirements and departmental capacity.
  • Maintain a placement calendar and ensure alignment with hospital availability.
  • Ensure all students complete required onboarding steps: background checks, immunizations, training modules, confidentiality agreements, etc.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with legal, regulatory, and hospital policies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students, academic institutions, and hospital departments.
  • Facilitate clear communication before, during, and after student placements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all student placements
  • Monitor start/end dates, department assignments, and completed compliance items
  • Coordinate with legal to ensure all affiliation agreements and contracts are current
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive licensure and certification tracking system to ensure compliance for all applicable hospital positions.
  • Monitor licensure expiration dates, provide timely notifications regarding compliance requirements, and collaborate with department leaders and Human Resources to ensure staff maintain active and appropriate licensure and certification credentials in accordance with regulatory and position-specific requirements.
  • Address questions or concerns from students or staff.
  • Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts, missed requirements, or placement issues.
  • Collect and manage student and preceptor evaluations.
  • Provide feedback and data to support continuous program improvement.
