About The Position

The Student Coordinator role is a full-time position focused on supporting the campus student pastor in fostering a creative, fun, safe, and engaging environment for middle school and high school students. This role is crucial for the success of the student ministry, aiming to help the student pastor win with students, parents, and volunteers. The coordinator will serve the Frisco East campus broadly, assisting with various needs beyond student ministry, including caring for families, supporting other departments, and contributing to campus-wide events. Key responsibilities include overseeing Wednesday night activities, recruiting and retaining volunteers, supporting school ministry partnerships, facilitating weekend middle school groups, engaging with parents, and assisting with central student department initiatives like mission trips and summer camps. The role also involves working within established church systems for efficiency and guest follow-up.

Responsibilities

  • Set up the campus student pastor for success in winning with students, parents, and volunteers.
  • Serve the Frisco East campus, prioritizing student ministry but also assisting other departments as needed.
  • Care for families through hospital visits, being present in the office, leading at Connect Track, helping with funerals, and addressing other campus needs.
  • Foster a creative, fun, safe, and engaging environment for students during Wednesday night services, overseeing activities like worship, guest hosting, programming, lobby environment, and small group leader support.
  • Recruit, retain, onboard, train, evaluate, coach, and care for adult volunteers to minister to students and lead thriving small groups.
  • Increase the campus's presence in area schools by partnering with organizations like FCAs, sports teams, and school staff, and leading small group leaders in school outreach.
  • Facilitate, organize, and run weekend middle school groups during services, helping students grow in their understanding of God and the Bible.
  • Connect with parents to care for the family unit and encourage parental involvement at Hope.
  • Ensure a smooth transition for 5th to 6th graders and their parents.
  • Encourage students to volunteer in various church areas (Hope Kids, Connections, Worship, Production).
  • Serve with other departments such as children's ministry, adult groups, and connections as needed.
  • Assist centrally with the student department on mission trips, summer camps, and student conferences.
  • Work within church systems for First Time Guest follow-up, Planning Center scheduling, and other efficiency-focused processes.
  • Reflect the cultural statements of Hope Fellowship, embodying the 'WE > ME' mindset, choosing a positive perspective ('Choose Your Lens'), seeking improvements ('Make it Better'), engaging in personal development ('Healthy You = Healthy Us'), and going the extra mile ('Towel Over the Arm').
