About The Position

Assist with administering the student disciplinary process by adjudicating disciplinary cases as assigned by the District Dean of Students. Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of related higher education experience required.
  • Strong understanding of Title IX, Clery Act, VAWA, etc.
  • Familiarity with electronic student conduct management systems
  • Working knowledge of relevant college district, state and federal policies related to student conduct
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to student conduct cases in a timely manner
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administrators

Responsibilities

  • Update Dean of Students Office case database and provide monthly disciplinary reports.
  • Ensure the Dean of Students Office is kept updated on the status of current cases and projects.
  • Maintain and update student discipline materials (i.e. faculty and student guides, marketing materials, and presentations).
  • When appropriate, schedule Educational Program Experience (EPE) projects and assignments for students.
  • Provide advocacy for students.
  • Stay current with Collin College Board Policies, the Student Code of Conduct, legal issues affecting students in Higher Education, Behavioral Intervention Team protocols, and student judicial affairs best practices.
  • Assist the District Dean of Students with editing the Student Code of Conduct, Student Handbook, SB 212 Quarterly Reports, and Annual Security Report.
  • Conduct travel training meetings for students, faculty, and staff as required by and in accordance with Collin College Board policy.
  • Present bystander awareness, VAWA, Title IX, Mandatory Reporting, Campus Security Authority (CSA), and scholastic dishonesty workshops for staff, faculty, and students.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and Core Values.
