About The Position

The Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Student Associate for its Finance office. This role is designed to assist with routine administrative and clerical tasks, providing a student with valuable career skills in accounting. The position is open to current UT Austin work-study students and requires commitment for the fall and spring semesters of the 2026-2027 academic year.

Requirements

• Must be a current UT Austin undergraduate student in good standing enrolled in at least 6 credits during the fall 2026 and spring 2027 semesters.
• Must have proof of current participation in the Work-Study program and be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer Service oriented
• Maintain a positive demeanor

Responsibilities

• Process departmental payments and deposits accurately
• Deliver deposits to campus Bursar’s Office
• Assist with electronic filing and document organization
• Perform routine data entry and record maintenance
• Respond to basic inquiries and direct requests to appropriate staff
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information
• Perform other general office duties as assigned
