Student Asst - FWS - Contemporary Art Museum
About The Position
The Student Assistant supports the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) by welcoming visitors, monitoring exhibition galleries as part of the museum security team, and assisting with events and daily operational needs. The position follows a repeated weekly schedule of 10–15 hours, with opportunities for additional hours during museum events. It is intended for a student entering their freshman or sophomore year. The role also provides opportunities to develop employability and professional skills, including punctuality, workplace communication, time management, responding to feedback, understanding how individual strengths support an employer’s goals, and communicating transferable skills to prospective employers.

- Must be entering freshman or sophomore year.

Responsibilities
- Greet museum visitors and provide educational brochures and other exhibition materials.
- Monitor exhibition galleries and serve as a member of the Contemporary Art Museum security team.
- Work with the CAM Event Coordinator to set up and break down event equipment.
- Assist the CAM Event Coordinator with events, lunches, and other needs.
- Answer calls and direct callers to appropriate staff.
- Sign for deliveries and pickups.
