About The Position

The Office of Immigration Services (OIS) is seeking student assistants to support its work providing legal and strategic U.S. immigration counsel to the Harold Hamm Health Campus, driving immigration compliance, and supporting the immigration needs of international students, employees, and their families. Hiring is contingent upon verification of current student status and a background check. International students on the University of Oklahoma Norman campus are not eligible because they are not authorized to work at the Harold Hamm Health Campus.

The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Travel is not required. The position is based in an office work environment and involves daily interaction with people, prolonged sitting, and computer use. Pay is targeted up to $14.00 per hour, depending on experience. The position is not benefits eligible.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in the Spring 2027 Term as a student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
• Must have a current class schedule.
• Familiarity with working in a professional office setting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Hiring is contingent upon verification of current student status.
• Hiring is contingent upon a background check.

Responsibilities

• Work with PDSO/DSOs to update reference materials for international students.
• Assist PDSO/DSOs with student information reporting.
• Welcome students and visitors to the office and direct them to the appropriate staff member.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
