About The Position

Coyote Radio & Advertising is a student-run, on campus radio station and advertising, marketing, social media and website content creation unit within the College of Arts and Letters at CSUSB. This role will assist the team and staff with client relations, blog posts, social media updates, and execution of basic marketing tasks such as attending promotional events and passing out fliers. The Student Assistant will also work with the social media student team in the Comm Studies Practicum class.

Requirements

Ability to learn and perform assigned work
Follow oral instructions
Work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students
Communicate effectively with all levels
Read and write English at a level appropriate to the position
Admission or registration as a CSU student
Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative
Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
Eligible to work in the United States
Possess a Social Security Card

Nice To Haves

Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Must be well organized, be able to multi-task and possess excellent people skills.
Professional appearance and persona is a plus.
Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure, be detail oriented and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must have intermediate knowledge of social media content creation and posts.
Major or Minor in Communication Studies is preferred but not mandatory.
Must possess a self-starter disposition as social media is a fluid medium and must be covered daily.
Previous social media content creation and posting experience is a bonus factor.
