About The Position

Works under close supervision to provide support to department(s) and perform duties which may be simple to moderately complex in nature.

Requirements

• Enrolled in or able to provide proof of enrollment in high school or institute of higher education
• May be required to have specific field of study or education according to assigned area
• High School students should be a minimum of 16 years of age
• No experience required

Responsibilities

• Reading scientific research papers
• Observing and learning about the research being done by the lab
• Attending regular meetings with the other summer interns in the center
• Putting together and doing a poster presentation over their assigned project
• Performing minor routine duties in the lab as assigned, under the direct supervision of full-time lab staff
• Performing a variety of duties to include, but are not limited to, basic administrative and service related functions
• Assisting staff with day to day operations
• Participating in basic to moderately complex projects as requested by supervisor
• Performing other duties as assigned
