About The Position
San Francisco Bay University (SFBU), a nonprofit, WASC-accredited university situated in the heart of Silicon Valley in Fremont, California, seeks an innovative and experienced Student Assistant (SA). The SA will support ECE faculty and the department chair on an as-needed basis by testing hands-on laboratory activities and updating labs and exercises accordingly. This position requires technical proficiency, strong communication skills, and a commitment to upholding SFBU’s academic standards and integrity.
Requirements
- Candidates must be enrolled in a program at SFBU.
- Candidates should be familiar with Programming, Operating Systems and be familiar with technologies used in the aforementioned classes.
Responsibilities
- Test course practical exercises, report issues, and update contents.
- Support students in using simulation tools or virtual machines as needed.
- Help with grading assignments.
- Help prepare course materials (e.g., slides, practice problems, lab instructions).
- Research examples or tools that can enhance student understanding of concepts.
- Proctoring responsibilities as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the instructor or academic department.
