We're looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team. Our programs serve children 6 weeks through 12 years, including Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before & After Care, and Summer Camp. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a busy classroom environment
- Dependability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
- Commitment to learning and professional growth
Nice To Haves
- Previous childcare or early childhood experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Supporting daily lesson plans and classroom activities
- Creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Engaging children in age-appropriate learning and play
- Building positive relationships with children and families
- Communicating professionally with parents, teachers, and school leadership
- Helping document and communicate children's progress
- Responding with patience and empathy to children's individual needs
- Maintaining appropriate classroom expectations and routines
- Using technology to document children's development and progress
- Bringing creativity, energy, and enthusiasm to the classroom
- Supporting your teaching team and contributing to a positive school culture
