About The Position
The Student Assistant provides quality service to customers in Nutrition Services. The position may involve serving, cleaning, preparing and portioning salads, and grilling sandwiches for BistrOH meal service. It requires interaction with patients, visitors, and staff to meet customer service requirements. The role may also provide cashiering and basic point-of-sale and inventory assistance for a university retail or sales operation, including cleaning, displaying, and stocking merchandise. In Nutrition Services, the position handles cash and non-cash transactions for cafe purchases.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Serve food and clean work areas.
- Prepare and portion salads and grill sandwiches for BistrOH meal service.
- Provide cashiering and basic point-of-sale and inventory assistance.
- Clean, display, and stock merchandise in a retail or sales operation.
- Process cash and non-cash transactions for cafe purchases.
