About The Position

The Student Assistant within Housing & Residence Life Package Services team is responsible for receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming parcels to all residential halls on campus. This role involves loading and unloading sorted bins and packages into vehicles for delivery, preparing bins for delivery vehicles, and verifying addresses for outgoing mail and packages. The assistant must follow all safety procedures, maintain knowledge of Housing & Residence Life policies and emergency protocols, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in good standing as defined by the University at the time of employment.
• Maintain a 2.5 cumulative and semester GPA the semester prior to employment.
• Be available for 20-hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming parcels to all residential halls on campus.
• Load and unload sorted bins and packages into vehicles for delivery.
• Prepare bins to be loaded into delivery vehicles.
• Verify addresses and ensure proper preparation of outgoing mail and packages.
• Follow all safety procedures while handling mail, operating equipment, and transporting packages.
• Maintain current knowledge of Housing & Residence Life policies, procedures, emergency protocols, and documentation standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
