About The Position

The Food Pantry Student Assistant is responsible for taking inventory, stocking, maintaining, and marketing the NCF Food Pantry; gathering food donations; and creating events. The role also includes special projects and other duties as assigned and approved by the supervisor. A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a van are required.

Requirements

• Be a full-time NCF student in good academic and conduct standing.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have some prior experience working with Excel.
• Be a motivated self-starter with the capacity to work independently.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a van.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with Canva or another graphic design program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather and record food from food banks and donation boxes.
• Conduct inventory and quality control of Food Pantry inventory.
• Organize food in the pantry.
• Host one or more events.
• Assist with marketing initiatives to NCF community members.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned and approved by the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
