Berklee College of MusicBoston, MA

About The Position

We are building a creative editorial brand within BEATL (Berklee Emerging Artistic Technology Lab), a team dedicated to exploring everything that sits at the crossroads of emerging technology x music. Its audience expands beyond Berklee’s walls even as educating Berklee students and faculty remain the driving force behind the content. This is not a blog or a simple newsletter, but a fully formed media brand within Berklee with a website, social channels, newsletters, events, and more. It’s designed to reach students, faculty, musicians, industry insiders, and music tech pros—think media rather than academia. Looking for students interested in emerging tech in general (ethics, history, creative uses of technology, copyright, etc.) as well as a confidence working with video and socials. Student employees will take point on interviewing other students and peers and will share ownership of social channels and design and publish to social channels. We can discuss on-camera work if appropriate. They will also spend time in the machine of editorial creation by brainstorming content ideas, attending pitch meetings, and updating content calendars.
