About The Position

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS). Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week. Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate (minimum of 12 credits) student during the current semester and throughout the applicant’s term, maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average, remain in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University with no repeated violations of the University Code of Student Conduct. The role involves designing and updating graphic materials, developing event-related materials, creating graphics for websites and social media, supporting video and photography projects, assisting with special projects, coordinating with printing vendors, supporting major events, assisting with front desk coverage, and representing Business Affairs at events.

Requirements

  • Eligible to work on campus and employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow branding guidelines.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, TEAMS, and Word) and ability to create polished PowerPoint presentations.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar).
  • Basic photography and short-form video editing skills.
  • Interest in communications, marketing, graphic design, or related fields.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate professionally.
  • Must be able to work at least 10 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating print or digital marketing materials.
  • Able to commit at least two to three consecutive semesters to the position.
  • Robust portfolio with electronic and print media.
  • Ability to work flexibly and efficiently in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Junior or Senior in the UF Graphic Design program.

Responsibilities

  • Design and update graphic materials for Business Affairs events, programs, and marketing initiatives using Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
  • Ensure consistent application of UF Business Affairs branding across print and digital materials.
  • Develop event-related materials, including postcards, save-the-dates, agendas, signage, name tags, and digital assets.
  • Create and format graphics and images for Business Affairs websites, email communications, and social media.
  • Provide support for video and photography projects.
  • Assist with special projects such as booklets, certificates, PowerPoint presentations, and marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate with printing vendors, including selecting paper types, reviewing proofs, and supporting print production.
  • Support major events and initiatives, including occasional evenings or Saturdays.
  • Assist with front desk and phone coverage as needed.
  • Represent Business Affairs at events, informational sessions, and outreach activities as needed.
