About The Position

This position will support the Student Recruitment and Outreach department with recruiting prospective students to the college. Student ambassadors will be cross-trained to support the different areas of the Enrollment Management and Student Success division on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be successfully enrolled in a degree program.
  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours each term (excluding summer).
  • Must be available to work a minimum 20 hours per week (maximum 30 hours per week).
  • Occasional evening hours and weekend hours required.
  • Hires only U.S. citizens and individuals lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Upon earning CNM degree, can remain employed for one additional term after graduating, as long as the above requirements are met.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the first contact for the department.
  • Greets and directs prospective students and visitors; routes telephone calls; and schedules appointments.
  • Coordinates daily activities of the front desk, which includes maintaining key inventory, database maintenance and data entry.
  • Performs word processing tasks, which includes business correspondence, forms, tables, labels, flyers, posters and other office documents.
  • Tracks and files office documents, purchase orders and invoices.
  • Provides back-up coverage for other office staff.
  • Attending off-campus events in the community.
  • Providing presentations to prospective students.
  • Assisting prospective students with the admissions application and onboarding.
  • Conducting campus tours.
  • Assisting with special projects.
