The Accessibility Services Coordinator provides equitable access to learning for all students with disabilities. This role develops, directs, coordinates, and implements quality services to ensure students have equal access to all college programs and activities. The coordinator provides academic accommodations, support, and advocacy for students with disabilities, serving as the campus resource for disability and accessibility-related issues. Responsibilities include conducting student intakes, determining needs and accommodations, maintaining confidential documentation, and collaborating with staff and faculty to promote an inclusive environment. Daily interactions involve students, faculty, high school personnel, case workers, family members, local resource agencies, and MinnState personnel. The position also assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and ADA Laws.
