Learn to Swim Instructors at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion and RPAC Recreation Natatorium are a select team of individuals that teach swimming lessons for participants 6-months through adults. Instructors teach skills in a logical progression, allowing participants to learn to swim and play safely in and around the water. Classes are held during the academic year on Sundays 10:30am-5:00pm for group lessons and Sunday through Friday for private lessons. The Learn-to-Swim Program provides an increased emphasis in the areas of drowning prevention and water safety and an all-encompassing approach to swimming and water safety through the American Red Cross. Instructors may teach both Group and Private Lessons. This position provides the opportunity to develop life and professional skills such as time management, responsibility attention to detail, adaptability, communication, and learning to work under pressure. Staff have the opportunity to work with groups and individuals of various ages. This position is ideal for someone who is looking for a flexible, rewarding, and FUN job on campus! We do not have lessons on Saturdays in the Fall and are off during school breaks and holidays!
