Fixed Income Division - Municipal Securities - VP/ED, Structuring (New York)
About The Position
Morgan Stanley's Fixed Income Division Municipal Securities Structuring team provides marketing and execution services to borrower and investor clients. The group works across origination, underwriting, and market making, designing and marketing structured transactions to clients and internal stakeholders using cash and derivative products. The role contributes analytical, quantitative, and operational expertise to execute bespoke transactions, partners with sales to identify client needs and develop suitable structures, maintains marketing materials for product offerings, and collaborates with internal desks and external parties.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in a structured finance or fixed income role, with comfort working with cash and derivative products.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Curious, inquisitive, collaborative, detail-oriented, analytical, self-starting, and team-oriented.
- Ability and eagerness to use new technologies, data, and automation to enhance traditional job functions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple high-priority projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide analytical, quantitative, and operational contributions necessary to execute bespoke structured transactions.
- Work with the salesforce to identify client needs and design structures to meet those needs.
- Develop and maintain marketing materials for existing and new product offerings.
- Collaborate with other Morgan Stanley desks and external parties to support structuring activities.
