About The Position

In this role, you will fabricate and install aircraft structural components in support of STC and ISR modification programs within a Part 145 repair station, ensuring all work is accomplished in accordance with approved engineering data, OEM publications, the Structural Repair Manual (SRM), and regulatory requirements. You will interpret engineering drawings and installation packages to produce precision parts and assemblies, perform structural installations and repairs using proper drilling and fastening techniques in accordance with the SRM, and collaborate with engineering, avionics, and quality teams to resolve fit, repair, and configuration issues while maintaining high standards of safety, workmanship, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 3 years of aircraft structural repair and fabrication experience
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, STCs, SRMs, and installation instructions
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, with experience following formal procedures and work instructions
  • Strong background in aircraft structural repair and fabrication including fitting of complex parts into assemblies
  • Experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and dial indicators to verify hole size, edge distance, alignment, and part dimensions against engineering drawings and specifications
  • Demonstrated experience with standard enterprise IT utilities
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and FAA DOT drug test
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Position may require passing a government-administered background check
  • Employment is contingent on meeting all clearance and adjudication requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 21 and adjacent processes, including design, fabrication, prototyping, and conformity processes
  • Prior experience in aircraft modification, military integration programs, or special mission aircraft
  • FAA Airframe license
  • Familiarity with King Air, Challenger, Global, or similar special-mission/ISR-modified aircraft
  • Experience using digital maintenance systems (e.g., electronic task cards, AMOS) for work control and signoff

Responsibilities

  • Interpret STCs, engineering orders, and installation drawings to plan and execute structural modification work scopes
  • Lay out, drill, ream, and countersink primary and secondary structure to tight tolerances using approved tools and processes
  • Perform structural repairs and fabrications in accordance with the applicable Structural Repair Manual (SRM) and approved repair data
  • Perform installations of ISR and mission system structures, including sensor mounts, antenna supports, radomes, and equipment racks
  • Remove, modify, and reinstall panels, fairings, and access doors as required to accomplish STC and ISR modifications
  • Collaborate with engineering to clarify design intent, resolve interference issues, and provide as‑built feedback and redlines
  • Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions, edge distances, and hole quality meet drawing and specification requirements
  • Assist in developing and improving fabrication and installation processes to increase quality, repeatability, and efficiency
  • Perform other duties, responsibilities, and projects assigned by management
