About The Position

Responsible for performing structural repairs, modifications, installations, on and off aircraft related to Avionics installations and other structural needs.

Requirements

  • Read and interpret aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
  • Min 3+ years of structural repair/manufacturing/modifications experience.
  • Demonstrate good problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must be willing and motivated to learn new skills and equipment.
  • Must be able to pass drug and background screen.

Responsibilities

  • Part removal, repair, fabrication and re-installation of aircraft components.
  • Advanced removal, installation, and repairs using engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Maintain work and shop areas to a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate and maintain shop fabrication equipment.
  • Minimal supervision to maintain company and industry standards.
  • Know, understand, follow, promote, and continuously improve company policies and procedures.
  • Observe all safety, environmental, and housekeeping rules and policies.
  • Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to accomplish structural repairs or modifications (i.e. micrometers, calipers, protractors, scales, etc.).
  • Perform structural aircraft repairs/modifications/installation/fabrication using appropriate sheet metal techniques, fastener removal/installation and repair methods.
  • Read and interpret maintenance and structural repair manuals, and blueprints when required.
  • Set up and use sheet metal equipment such as brakes, presses, saws, shears and rollers.
  • Use sound judgment and technical aptitude to make basic decisions regarding modifications/repairs and sequence of tasks and procedures.
