Hermeus is a venture-backed defense aviation company focused on rapid iterative prototyping to build the fastest aircraft in the world. They aim to provide high-speed systems at the pace of the modern battlefield and deliver high-speed capabilities to the U.S. nation and its allies. The Structures/Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the design, build, and test of flight hardware for next-generation aircraft systems. This role involves designing and developing mechanical subassemblies such as control surfaces, landing gear doors, and avionics trays. The internship is suited for students who want to own real hardware, work in a fast-paced development environment, and see designs through from concept to fabrication, integration, and testing. The internship duration is approximately 16 weeks for Spring (January - April) and 12 weeks for Summer (May - August).
