About The Position

The Structures Mechanic is responsible for performing aircraft structural modifications, repairs, and installations in accordance with approved engineering data, Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs), maintenance manuals, and company quality standards. This position supports aircraft modification programs and ensures all work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience performing aircraft structural modifications, repairs, or installations.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, STC packages, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPS), Fault Isolation Manuals (FIM), work instructions, or other approved technical data.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft structural repair and modification techniques.
  • Familiarity with inspection buy-back processes and quality control requirements.
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance documentation and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Knowledge of aircraft tool control procedures and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural modifications and installations on aircraft, including fuselage crown doublers, structural reinforcements, and related sub-assemblies.
  • Fabricate, fit, drill, assemble, and install structural components using approved engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Read, interpret, and execute work in accordance with technical STC drawings, engineering orders, flag notes, and other approved documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with installation requirements, quality standards, and customer specifications throughout all phases of work.
  • Understand and adhere to inspection buy-back processes, including 'OK to Install,' 'OK to Drill,' and 'OK to Close' requirements.
  • Utilize aircraft maintenance and technical publications, including AMM, AIPC, FIM, ESPM, SRM, and other applicable documentation.
  • Perform work in accordance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and support inspection and quality assurance activities.
  • Follow established tool control procedures and maintain accountability for all assigned tools and equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
