About The Position

Are you an experienced Structures Master Technician with advanced sheet metal expertise and a passion for delivering precision aircraft repairs? In this role, you'll perform and oversee complex structural maintenance and repairs on commercial aircraft while interpreting service bulletins, engineering orders, structural repair manuals, and technical blueprints to ensure every job meets the highest quality and safety standards. You'll coordinate task planning, communicate with engineering, planning, materials, and customers, and help mentor and guide fellow technicians to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Requirements

  • Proficient working knowledge in all lower Sheet Metal Job skill progression titles.
  • Good working knowledge or ability to acquire the skills of a Lead Mechanic.
  • Proficient working knowledge of the following skills and the ability to learn skills among various narrow and wide body commercial aircraft:
  • Proficient detail blueprint reading, ability to read, interpret and work from service bulletins, engineering work orders, major S.R.M. structural repairs, ability to layout work using bend radius, set back and bend allowance charts, utilization of shop math, install and/or splice spars, landing gear, trunion changes, pressure bulkhead repairs and keal beam repairs/ removal and reinstall, knowledge of ATA codes, knowledge of all applicable F.A.R.’s and company policies and procedures including job clocking, routine/ non-routine cards, work sign-off/ sell-off procedures.
  • 62 Months of relevant aircraft maintenance experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Mechanical maintenance and repair on Commercial Aircraft types.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from all Service Bulletins, AD's, EO's, & EA's
  • Provides assigned task planning / scheduling & ensures that goals are met
  • Ability & willingness to assist, guide, oversee, train, evaluate & instruct others
  • Attentiveness / knowledge of aircraft schedules along with ability to develop alternate flow plan if required
  • Ability to communicate with internal groups (Planning, Materials, Fabrication, etc.) concerning aircraft issues
  • Ability to communicate with Customers, Engineers, etc. concerning work related to aircraft sheetmetal tasks
  • Attentiveness & knowledge of assigned job budget as well as planned aircraft budget
  • Any & all sheetmetal / structures tasks related to aircraft maintenance
  • Ability to provide task planning / scheduling & ensure required materials, etc. are on hand
  • Communication with Customers, Engineering, etc. concerning sheetmetal work assigned to aircraft
