About The Position

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (DHC) is seeking motivated Aircraft Structures Technicians to support production and major modifications on De Havilland aircrafts. This role is ideal for soon-to-be graduates from an Aircraft Structures Technician program (or a similar discipline) looking to launch their career in aerospace. You will work hands-on with the world-class DHC-515 Firefighter (Waterbomber) in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Calgary, Alberta. The position offers direct experience in aircraft manufacturing on iconic De Havilland platforms, mentorship from experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians, exposure to real-time production goals, industry standards, and best practices, and the opportunity to kickstart your aerospace career in a high-performance team setting.

Requirements

• A soon-to-be graduate from an Aircraft Structures Program from SAIT, Okanagan College, Mohawk College, or Fanshawe College
• Eager to gain real-world experience and build your skills in a professional manufacturing setting
• Comfortable working from technical documentation and following detailed instructions
• A team player who thrives in collaborative, hands-on environments
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work safely with tools and equipment
• Physically able to work at heights or in confined spaces when required
• Must maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety Policies
• Must be able to perform key physical tasks of the position described in the job description and interview process
• Must be able to maintain a positive fit test when mask use is required
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Must be able to provide professional references
• Must be able to provide verification of employment history
• Must be able to provide verification of educational background
• Must be able to pass criminal background checks

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of structural components and modifications on the DHC-515 aircraft
• Work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to assemble, install, or repair aircraft structures
• Learn and apply industry-standard structural practices using sheet metal tools, jigs, fixtures, and aerospace equipment
• Participate in the Final Assembly Line (FAL) process and collaborate with skilled teams to meet production timelines
• Ensure all work aligns with quality and safety standards, reporting any concerns to senior technicians
• Maintain accurate documentation of tasks completed and follow all safety protocols in a fast-paced production environment
