About The Position

The Structurer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. This role is recognized as a technical authority for an area within the business and requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are essential for guiding, influencing, and convincing others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. The role has a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables and provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. The work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years structuring experience from a financial institution
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple functional groups in a cohesive manner.

Responsibilities

  • Pricing and developing innovative financial products for investors.
  • Performing payoff risk and P&L impact pre-trade and post-trade scenario analysis.
  • Conducting customized back tests and client portfolio analysis.
  • Participating in pre-trade & post-sales efforts, working closely with dedicated institutional sales teams.
  • Developing new products/payoffs.
  • Creating marketing presentations and participating in client meetings.
  • Partnering with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
  • Building a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline, and ethics.
  • Assessing risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions and ensuring team members understand the need to do the same, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
  • Being familiar with and adhering to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services, and ensuring team members understand the need to do the same.
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures as defined by the role.
  • Obtaining and maintaining all required registrations/licenses for the role within the appropriate timeframe.
  • Assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
