Job Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to provide the continuous direction and day-to-day operations of the Community Service’s Structured Day Program (SDP).

Requirements

Minimum associate’s degree preferred in related field, or one with a recreation focus with two (2) years supervisory experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred with minimum of three (3) years combined experience in human services field and supervision.
Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver’s License-a vehicle is required for business travel.
Solid verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all persons supported and a diverse employee population of various levels within the organization.
Demonstrated ability to use poise, tact, maturity and diplomacy, during difficult and/or stressful situations to effectively collaborate and resolve issues.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, and customer requests, while meeting deadlines.
Must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion concerning all business-related matters, including but not limited to board/vendors/donors’ names, investigations, finance, operations, and employee relations matters.
Must be willing to complete specific company required trainings as mandated at time of hire and annually thereafter as per OPWDD regulations.
Must adhere to all departmental /company policies & procedures at all times.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs to include Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) & Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD) waivers a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain the health & well-being of individuals served and ensure adequate staffing levels to support services.
Monitor all government required documentation and ensure accuracy.
Participate in all external referrals, admissions, placement, and discharges.
Review and sign off on all billing documentation to ensure compliance with funder and Department of Health (DOH) regulations.
Participate in supervisory on-call rotation.
Collaborate and support all levels of management, families, and outside providers such as service coordinators and employees.
Assume role of Direct Support Professional (DSP) as needed to ensure proper levels of support.
Ensure all required reporting is completed per specification.
Follow up on all Direct Support Professional (DSPs) documentation ensuring it is accurate and up to date.
Report all policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Promote workplace safety.
Must attend Leadership trainings.
Performs other duties as assigned by Community Services Associate Director and/or designee within scope of practice.
Ensure team compliance of annual trainings.
Manage direct report(s) time and attendance using HRIS platform.
Manages team of one (1) Assistant Supervisor and minimum five (5) Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Must collaborate with Human Resources for; recruitment/onboarding, performance management, etc.
