About The Position

The Structured Cabling Sales Associate is responsible for working with the General Contractor, Electrical Contractor and End Users to provide sales support to assemble bill of materials and labor estimates for customer bids. Responsible for accurately determining the necessary equipment quantities, pricing and labor needed to complete the job according to company and customer requirements. Create and maintain database to increase productivity and accuracy using Dynamics CRM. The salary range for this role is between $50,000- $75,000, with the ability to earn $250,000+ total compensation if sales goals are met. In addition, this position is eligible for commissions (which will be shared in more detail at a later time) and an auto allowance of $115.38/week and cell phone allowance of $11.54/week.

  • Must have experience with reviewing bid documents for purposes of evaluating and preparing comprehensive bill of materials and scope of work descriptions.
  • Must demonstrate computer literacy in Word & Outlook and be proficient with Excel.
  • Must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust to shifting priorities.
  • Must possess superior interpersonal skills, be a team player and work well with other people.
  • Five years minimum experience in Low-voltage Sales.
  • Estimating for Low-voltage Systems.
  • Product Knowledge of Structured Cabling, Fiber Optics, Wireless Access Points, Distributed Antennae Systems (DAS), and Paging.
  • Ability to navigate all types of construction sites.
  • Ability to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a CRM such as Dynamics is a plus.
  • Experience working with critical communication systems.
  • Experience working on various security systems including access control and CCTV.
  • Industry certifications are a plus.
  • Dynamics and/or other CRM.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble bill of materials and labor estimates for customer bids.
  • Accurately determine necessary equipment quantities, pricing, and labor needed to complete the job.
  • Create and maintain a database using Dynamics CRM to increase productivity and accuracy.
  • Work with Management and Technical staff to interpret project specifications and drawings, determine system layout, and develop bill of materials with installation labor projections.
  • Generate comprehensive project descriptions and scope of work.
  • Assist in creating a comprehensive set of system drawings and project documentation including material lists for job installation and purchasing.
  • Manage assigned accounts, resolve customer issues, and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Negotiate customer contract renewals and maintain existing customer relationships.
  • Add scope to maintenance contracts.
