Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Structure Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations for local bridges and structures in the Orlando, FL area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway construction and maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Clean driving record is essential.
Must pass criminal background check.
Minimum 1 year of related experience in bridge/structure repair and maintenance.
Must have transportation to and from Company office.
Ability to take direction.
Produce quality work in an efficient manner.
Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and procedures.
Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner.
High School Diploma/GED.
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology.
Ability to use smart phone and applications.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required.

Nice To Haves

Full bilingual Spanish/English.
Roadway maintenance or construction skills.
MOT Certifications.
Advanced General knowledge of reading/understanding plans and specifications for structures.
CDL license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance operations for local bridges and structures.
Perform a variety of tasks related to roadway construction and maintenance.
Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing).
Carry out simple arithmetic functions.
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job.
Operate hand/power tools.
Work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions.
