About The Position
This role ensures that welds meet cosmetic and dimensional standards and that parts are ready for further processing, inspection, or shipment. To ensure Kelvion’s Standard of Excellence, which includes quality, is incorporated into every product we produce. Requirements
- Familiarity with grinding tools and finishing techniques
- Ability to read basic technical drawings and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Responsibilities
- Operate hand grinders, belt sanders, and other finishing tools to clean and smooth welded joints
- Remove weld spatter, burrs, and surface imperfections from metal parts
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality and conformance to specifications
- Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and weld symbols
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times
- Support welders by preparing surfaces for welding and post-weld finishing
- Keep work area clean and organized, adhering to 5S and lean practices
- Report defects or equipment issues to supervisors promptly
- Assist with material handling and staging of parts as needed
- All other duties assigned.
