About The Position

The Structure Foreman manages and assists skilled craft workers in carrying out assigned duties under close supervision. The work includes building columns and caps, setting concrete beams, and placing bridge deck. The role leads day-to-day field crew production on highway projects, supports safe equipment use, and helps ensure construction work follows project plans.

Requirements

• Five years of experience managing crews on highway projects.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to climb, kneel, twist, and bend in various environments.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items and work with the fingers.
• Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
• Valid driver's license for occasional required travel.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to maneuver on foot around minor obstacles at construction projects.
• Ability to work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions, including rain, sun, snow, and wind.

Responsibilities

• Manage the field crew in the day-to-day production of projects.
• Maintain a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety.
• Order tools and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints and plans and construct accordingly.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example.
• Assist skilled craft workers in performing assigned duties, including building columns and caps, setting concrete beams, and placing bridge deck.
