About The Position

Cibes|Symmetry is hiring a full-time Structural Welder in Peoria, Illinois. The role helps manufacture accessibility products by welding high-quality metal components to specifications, with some fabrication work. The position pays $20.75–$29 per hour, based on experience, and is scheduled Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays depending on workload.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of welding experience.
• Familiarity with MIG and/or TIG welding processes.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and technical instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must pass a drug screen, background check, and any required position-specific testing.

Nice To Haves

• Structural welding experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and blueprints.
• Set up and operate MIG and/or TIG welding equipment.
• Lay out and secure metal pieces using fixtures, squares, and measuring tools.
• Weld structural components to a high standard of craftsmanship.
• Finish workpieces using grinders and welding tools.
• Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and conformance to tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and rework pieces as needed.
• Follow safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Perform some fabrication work.
