About The Position

This position involves planning, laying out, assembling, and installing metal parts, equipment, and products according to company specifications and blueprints. The role requires a wide range of welding skills, from light tacking to heavy flat, up weld, and overhead weld, and the operation of various power tools including saws, grinders, drills, welders, and overhead cranes. The successful candidate must adhere to company safety policies, maintain a clean work area, and perform all essential duties satisfactorily. The position supports a philosophy of zero accidents, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement efforts, requiring adherence to company policies, procedures, and rules, maintaining a safe and sanitary working environment, and fostering a positive, team-oriented attitude. Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirements is also essential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, equivalent, or two (2) years related work experience
  • Successfully Pass a 3G plate test
  • Read and follow blue prints
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location
  • Basic knowledge of Mig, Tig, and Stick welding operations
  • The ability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment such as electric arc welders, and gas welders
  • The ability to read and understand blue prints
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the welding trade
  • Good written/oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of machines, tools, their uses benefits, and maintenance
  • Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools, and instruments involved in the production and use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, assets, and techniques used for maximizing the manufacturing of products

Responsibilities

  • Plans, lays out, assembles, installs metal parts, equipment, and products according to company specifications and blue prints
  • Operate a variety of power tools including, but not limited to saws, grinders, drills, welders, and overhead cranes
  • Comply with company safety policies
  • Keep work area clean
  • Perform each essential duty satisfactory
  • Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible
  • Must have basic knowledge of Mig, Tig, and Stick welding operations
  • The ability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment such as electric arc welders, and gas welders
  • The ability to read and understand blue prints
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the welding trade
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering on improvement projects
  • Support the efforts of Lean and Continuous Improvement teams
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules
  • Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirement
