About The Position

We are looking for experienced Structural Fitter/Welders to join our dynamic team, someone who shares our passion for delivering top-notch services that exceed expectations. This position requires experience working in a steel fabrication industry and proficient welding with flux-core wire. Familiarity with structural steel shop fabrication tools and machinery Layout, fit and weld fabricated components to assemble structural forms. Clamp and tack-weld parts to secure position for welding. Operate cutting torch, plasma torch, small saw machine and iron machine. Able to safely transfer or position pieces manually using overhead or jib cranes. Perform 100% first article inspections by visual examine work piece. Measure part of hole dimension or sizes, square, flatness and other drawing instructions. Set up welding machine and welding gun: assemble/disassemble welding tips and liner, wire feed and voltage, using arc or gas-shielded arc welding equipment.

Requirements

  • Candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, as a structural fitter.
  • Able to lift/maneuver up to 70lbs., unassisted.
  • Capable to stand/sit or walk for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Read and understand measuring tools and equipment.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Knowledge of abrasives, and condition of metal and attachments to grinder.
  • Good communication, multi-tasking skills and attention to detail.
  • All employees are expected to be drug free and must pass a drug test before employment begins.
